Our Church
Progressive Missionary Baptist Church has served the Saint Paul, MN, community since 1992. From humble beginnings in the Bandana Square Apartment complex meeting room, we’ve expanded to a new model ministry and facility at 1505 Burns Avenue, St Paul, Minnesota. We’re committed to worship, evangelism, discipleship, shepherding, and investing in upcoming generations for God’s glory. We are actively “putting new wine into new wineskins” (Matthew 9:17) to preserve the authority of Scripture while showing its relevancy in modern times. Come and enjoy “The Progressive Experience” in Saint Paul!
Our Pastor
The Rev. Dr. Melvin G. Miller serves as our senior pastor. He succeeded his father, the Rev. Dr. Earl F. Miller, in 2017 after serving him and the church as assistant pastor and co-pastor for over a decade. Dr. Melvin Miller is committed to accurate Bible exposition, powerful gospel preaching, and community activism. As an experienced teacher and adjunct professor, he often leads Bible studies and other ministry initiatives and leads our church in worship and service. Dr. Miller has seven children.
